حملة الذاكرة المجتمعية
مشروع "الذاكرة الحية" مبادرةٌ تدعمها مؤسسة بلاك بازلت في إطار رسالتها الرامية إلى حماية ذاكرة المجتمعات الأقلية المعرّضة لخطر التهميش والطمس. وتُعدّ السويداء، ذات الغالبية الدرزية في جنوب سوريا، من المجتمعات التي تلتزم المؤسسة بخدمتها. ومع اقتراب الذكرى السنوية الأولى لمجزرة السويداء، تضع المؤسسة صون الذاكرة بين أيدي أبناء المجتمع أنفسهم، عبر جائزة "الذاكرة الحية" الإبداعية، وبرنامج دعمٍ مباشر لأسر الشهداء، ومشروع "مقام الذاكرة" الذي يُوضع حجر أساسه في الذكرى، إلى جانب أرشفة رقمية بالذكاء الاصطناعي لحفظ الشهادات والوثائق التاريخية. فالذاكرة، حين تُترك دون حماية، لا تضيع فحسب، بل يُعاد تشكيلها وكتابتها على يد الآخرين.
Living Memory Community Project
The Living Memory Project is a Black Basalt Foundation initiative protecting the histories of minority communities at risk of being erased. Swaida, a predominantly Druze region in southern Syria, is one of the communities BBF is committed to serving. As the first anniversary of the Swaida massacre approaches, BBF is placing memory in the hands of the community itself: the Living Memory Award, direct support for martyrs' families, The Living Memorial cornerstone being laid on the anniversary, and an AI-assisted digital archive preserving testimonies and historical records. Memory left unprotected isn't just lost. It gets rewritten by someone else.

Memory does not survive alone, it lives in the voices of those who carry it.
The Living Memory Award is not a competition. It is a collective invitation to preserve what happened in our own voices, before others tell that story for us. Every work you share becomes part of the first community archive of this anniversary.
On the first anniversary of the massacre (July 15, 2026), Black Basalt Foundation invites everyone inside Swaida and around the world to help preserve memory through creativity. No special skill is required. A photograph and a memory are enough. A short film, a poster, anything that expresses what you carry.
Participation is a collective opening to the future — a message to our coming generations that our memory stays alive, and that it is a message from us.
Direct Financial Support for Martyrs' Families
In coordination with local authorities, spiritual leaders, and civil society organizations in As-Suwayda, Black Basalt Foundation is providing direct financial support to the families of the martyrs. Distribution will occur in phases, beginning with families in greatest need.
The Memorial Monument
Preparations are underway to dedicate a memorial stone during the first anniversary. It will preserve the names of the martyrs so they remain present in the conscience of current and future generations.
